Goal: No more pen pals, just rad dates.
Instead of endless swiping, RAD shows you who’s up to party in your area. Disabling the regular keyboard, use emojis to say hi and jump straight to the date.
Role: Ship and launch a dating app in 8 weeks.
We knew we needed to really stand out if we were going to get any traction in the dating space, we gave ourselves 8 weeks to design and ship a tool that would turn heads and let folks get straight to the date. Defining, then implementing the four main components of RAD (location check-in, basic messaging, contact requests, and Bluetooth beacons) Users would check into a public point of interest, see potential matches and after exchanging an emoji sentence- get access to each others Bluetooth to follow a hot/cold dial and find their match in real life. 50% Marketing experiment, and 50% technical experiment we launched at a music festival in Florida successfully building a 200 person cohort and watched what happened over 24 hours in a central location.
